Thank you for your interest in Joining the OTHG!

Anyone over the age of 30 is welcome to join the Club.

Only Club members or invited guests can race with the gang.

Why Join the OTHG?
There are many reasons to join the Valley OTHG.

1. Fair racing with all new riders racing two "evaluation races" to insure they are placed in the proper class as judged by multiple race committee members. No trophies for the first two races but 15 points will be given for each race. 
2. Race in the Following age groups +30/+38/+45/+52/+60. Class is set by ability: Real Beginner - Novice - Intermediate - Expert - Master
3. 60+ plus class! If you will be 58 in 2012 you can sign up for this class. It will increase each year until it reaches 60.
4. You may join the class (age) that you will turn during the year. For example, if you will turn 30 on December 20, 2012, you may join OTHG as a 30 yr old on January 1, 2012. If you will turn 45 in June of 2012, you may sign up on January 1, 2012 in the 45 class, etc.
   
5. Shorter race days. We will work hard to schedule as many gang only races as possible. We also will schedule our races with local promoters so you do not have to choose between an OTHG race or a CMA event as an example. You can race your CMA class and then your OTHG class on the same day
6. If you have a child that wants to race but does not want to race the larger local events. We will have support classes for your kids. Usually Mini/Female/250/450 classes are used. You can also race the support gates as your second class.
7. You will receive discounts with Chapter supporters with your 2012 OTHG Card.
8. We will try to race several events with the other OTHG Chapters in 2012. More venues; more competition!
9. We have a 5 Race National Series that for 2012 includes Oatfield, Glen Helen,Tulare Cycle Park, Fernley Nevada and Hollister Hills.

 What if I am not 30 yet??

1. We have a class for you.
2. We will run a separate support class for racers that are 25-29 years old. Don't stop racing! Race with the OTHG!

What does it cost to Join?

1. The annual membership is $40 for new members. Renewal or a second chapter is $35.

How do I join?

1. Click on Member Numbers to see what's available then click and print a Membership Form (see below)
2. You are also welcome to check-in with us at any race.

What Number can or do I use?

1. The numbers 1-10 are reserved for the top 10 point earners from the previous season. When you join, you may ask for any open number that is available.
2. We will post a link with all open numbers on this site and keep it updated for you to reference.  

Do I need special Background Colors or Letters?

1. NO. LOCAL RACES DO NOT REQUIRE SPECIAL BACKGROUNDS. YOU MAY NOT RUN RED OR BLUE BACKGROUNDS AT ANY TIME AS THOSE ARE FOR PREVIOUS YEAR NATIONAL/CHAPTER CHAMPIONS. AFTER YOUR EVAL RIDES, IF YOU PLAN TO RACE ANY NATIONAL, YOU MUST HAVE THE PROPER COLORED BACKGROUNDS, NUMBERS AND LETTER "V" ON YOUR BIKE (front and side plates - exceptions are not permitted).

   What are the colors by Class?

   Beginner - Green/White Numbers and letter

   Novice - Yellow/Black Numbers and letter

   Intermediate - Black/White  Numbers and letter

   Expert/Pro - White/Black Numbers and letter
